The City of Williamsville will be holding a public hearing on November 9, 2021, at 6:30 PM, at Williamsville City Hall located at 114 Main St., Williamsville, MO 63967 regarding the submission of a grant application to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Community Facilities grant program for funding assistance. The city is interested in obtaining all citizens’ input on community development needs within the region. Local participation is needed to reflect the true desires of the region, as well as comments relating to the proposed project application. Activities that are eligible for funding include the improvement of public works. No displacement of people will be proposed.
The city is requesting funds to purchase one (1) new Kubota Grand L3560 series tractor with a square back bucket and front end loader with additional implements such as one (1) backhoe hitch, one (1) backhoe, one (1) 6-foot quick hitch, one (1) 6-foot rear blade, one (1) box blade scraper, one (1) commercial grade bush hog, one (1) 6-foot snow pusher, and one (1) 7-foot sickle mower. The total estimated cost of this project is $54,824. The USDA Community Facilities Grant Program will fund a maximum of 75% of the grant amount requested. All citizens are encouraged to attend.
