Ozark Border Electric Cooperative,
headquartered in Poplar Bluff, provides electric power for Grandin.
The city provides water for its residents from its own well. The
water plant has a storage capacity of 60,000 gallons per day, with
peak consumption and plant capacity of 80,000 gallons per day. Grandin
operates its own sewage lagoon.
The
residents of Grandin obtain telephone service from Alltel. They
do their banking at the Bank of Grandin, which has combined assets
of $87 million. Within the city limits are the public library, one
Catholic church, and five Protestant churches. For medical services,
residents utilize the Doniphan Hospital, only 18 miles away.
Missouri
Highway 21 runs directly through Grandin. It is 9 miles to the nearest
four-lane thoroughfare. For air travel, Doniphan Municipal Airport,
which is 13 miles to the south, has a one-mile runway. Jonesboro
Municipal Airport, 92 miles away, is the nearest commercial facility
in the area, and Lambert Field in St. Louis is the closest international
airport.

Within
a 20-mile radius, residents may enjoy the activities at two country
clubs, two public golf courses, and four public parks. Current River
is a popular spot for locals, as well as enthusiasts from across
the state, where they enjoy camping, fishing, hiking/fitness/nature
trails, motor boating, canoe and tube floating, and swimming. Average
temperatures for Grandin run from 16 degrees Fahrenheit in January
to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in July.
